About Heartland Academy Distance Learning Program

Our Distance Learning Program is a unique blend of offering prepared and outlined core academic lessons, prepared weekly for your child, with a farm-based distance learning box delivered to your home. Your child must be enrolled in a homeschool program, independent study program, or Private School. Heartland Academy Distance Learning Program is not a school, but a homeschool partner program.

This option is for homeschool parents who do not live locally, or travel throughout the year. Our structured weekly academic lessons are laid out, and organized for parents to easily work through with their children at their pace. 

• To join our Distance Learning Academy, you must fill out the Enrollment Interest form, and we will contact you for next steps.
• Cost- The yearly tuition varies based on your enrollment selection.
  • Fully Distance Learning Program (no on-ground lessons)
    • $1,500 yearly, and Additional fees include a $250 enrollment fee, and costs of shipping (depending on your location). 
      • 10 installments of $150 (plus 1x monthly shipping fees) from August through May. 
    • 2025-2026 Academic Year - September 2-May 29
  • Distance Learning Program + On-ground option
    • Monthly Cost for Distance learning + On-ground options 
      • $300 monthly -2 days weekly (Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:30am-12:30pm)
      • $480 monthly - 4 days weekly (Monday-Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm)
      • $150 monthly - Distance Learning
    • This varies based on your selections, and selections must be made by the 1st of the month, the month prior.
    • Additional fees include a $250 enrollment fee, uniform fee (community/on-ground days) $55, and costs for curriculum (that vary by grade level) and limited student supplies. 
• 2025-2026 Academic Year - September 2-May 29​

What are the Benefits of this option?

• We offer parents the support to have the option of homeschooling their children, without having the sole responsibility of creating academic lessons, organizing material, and planning out their child's educational journey.
• You can align your homeschool curriculum to match our curriculum (so we do the work for you!), or use it as an additional supplement to your own curriculum choice for your child's educational journey.
• We fully support families that travel, and/or that do not live locally, but want prepared academic lessons + farm-based enrichments that are pre-made for their little learners to do wherever home may be.
  • Examples of the families we serve under this option are:  Linemen, traveling nurses, flight attendants, freelance workers, various online careers, families who do not live locally, families who want to offer flexibility with home-centered learning, etc.
• We are the middle ground between traditional homeschooling + traditional schooling.  We offer ultimate flexibility for parents to teach their children at home, while also offering on-ground community days for their children to receive lessons in person, as well as fully distance learning opportunities.
• We offer a community for students to see each other weekly, grow relationships and form friendships.
• We offer a unique farm-based experience that gives students the opportunity to experience gardening, and farm animal care at Heartland Farms or wherever home may be.
